Multiple fire crews responded to a call Thursday night at the County Line Road home of Vernon Phillips, a prominent regional Santa performer. In the fire, all the gear of Mr. Phillips and his partner Bonnie S. Roberts, was destroyed, and one of his cats, Flag, died. The fire is still under investigation.
